I crave a love with no thorns

I've always wondered, how does it feel to be loved that even with no words you can feel it right through your core?

I don't mean the kind that hurts.

I mean that kind that gets you a cup of water when they’re getting one for themselves, too. Pick up your favorite snack when they run to the store, tuck your hair behind your ear when it gets too windy, place their hand above your head when it rains and you run for a cover.

How does it feel to be dedicated love songs to?

To know that when they hear the word love, your name would come to them-almost like an instinct. When they’re mesmerized by your beauty even when your hair is messy. And they don’t just give you flowers, but they plant you a garden of daisies.

How does it feel to know you wouldn’t have to cross oceans for them because they’d be halfway before you even ask them to?

I’ve only known love in a way that hurts. Would it be too much to ask if I get embraced by a love with no little thorns?
